Owner involvement is what makes Boldt’s different from other HVAC companies. Throughout their history, Boldt’s has been managed by the very people who care most about their customer’s satisfaction. From it’s humble beginnings in the early 1950’s, Boldt’s has emphasized a dedication to service and availability. Today, Boldt’s has one of the largest service staff in the area, with NATE certified technicians and licensed plumbers available 24 hours a day for both residential homes and businesses.
Our Company and Founder,
In Memory of our founder, Everett Boldt, May 4, 1921 to April 28, 2011
A Brief History
After serving his country in World War II, Everett Boldt began his work as a plumbing, sheet metal / heating installer & serviceman in the very same building that Boldt’s is located today. Everett’s starting wage was $18 per week. In 1960, Everett added business partner, ‘Perk’ Gregerson and the business was called Boldt & Gregerson Hardware until 1977, when the partnership split and the company name was changed to its current Boldt’s Plumbing & Heating. In 1948, Everett, along with his wife Eleanor, built their first and only home in Baldwin, where they raised four children and celebrated nearly 65 years of marriage. Everett instilled a strong work ethic and sense of community to his family, as they remember most holidays and celebrations being interrupted by Everett going out on a service call to restore someone’s heat or fix a frozen pipe or plugged sewer.
In 1973, daughter Jule offered to help her father with his bookwork, resulting in a lifelong commitment to the business. Jule continued to work with her father all through college and the raising of three daughters. In 1976, Everett approached Jule’s husband, Dale Hudson, asking him to join the company as his apprentice plumber. After securing his Journeyman Plumber’s title, Dale went on to receive his Master Plumber Certification in 1985, Certified Soil Tester License and continued on to HVAC design.
As current owner’s, Jule & Dale take a very hands-on approach to managing the business and still personally answer the after hours emergency calls, continuing the company’s tradition of service and availability to their customers.
In more recent years, Boldt’s has been joined by a third generation with son-in-law, Michael Blasing, joining the team as comfort specialist for residential heating and cooling systems, and daughter, Kellie, working in dispatch.
